Your Name/Alias: Cassie/[livejournal.com profile] perfectdays
Age: 18
Character: Albert de Morcerf (Herrera)
Series: Gankutsuou
Character Age: 16

Canon: Gankutsuou is set in the year 5053, in France, and follows the story of one man hell-bent on revenge, sweeping up innocent pawns into his little mind games. One such pawn is young Albert de Morcerf, the naive and somewhat impressionable protagonist of the series. And by "naive" we really mean "trusts all the people that he shouldn't, even after their ill-will towards him is revealed". Even when everything he's ever known comes crashing down around his knees, he still remains faithful to the people and ideas that he believes in.

However, along with Albert's innocence comes a dangerous sort of stubbornness to blindly follow what he believes to be right. This, combined with his tendency to get easily agitated and emotional when questioned, leads Albert into many a sticky situation. But regardless of how frustrating he can be, his love for those close to him remains unconditional, forgiving, and sweet enough to give you a cavity.

Sample Post:

I know they say that you shouldn't accept lifts from strangers, but the gentleman seemed so polite that I thought it would've been rude to turn him down. How was I supposed to know that he wasn't really going to drive me to Marseille? It wasn't as if he was a suspicious looking man offering sweets or anything-- I know better than that! And besides, the white van looked very respectable.

Anyway, nobody got hurt, which is the important thing! I'm sure this is just a very big misunderstanding. After all, the gentleman was even thoughtful enough to provide reading material on the way here. There was one book entitled How To Do A Barrel Roll And Much More, which looked to be both interesting and educational, though I didn't get the time to read it. I was even given a parting gift-- it's a kind of small looking package, but I suppose it's not the size that counts! All that kindness is a lot of effort to go to for a petty trick or a kidnapping, so leaving me out here must be a mistake. I can't think of any other reason why he would be so considerate.

But since I'll probably be waiting here for a while for him to realise his mistake and return, I've been taking the opportunity to learn a little more about the world outside. This place is pretty interesting all by itself! I'm not in France anymore, that much is certain. For one thing, the people here have some unusual customs, stranger than any I've ever read about! And that includes that ancient custom I heard about where people used to greet each other over the telephone by saying "seven days"!

For example, I just tried introducing myself to some of those people ambling by earlier, and I think it went quite well. I thought I heard them saying something in English, so I held out my hand to shake theirs, since I was sure that's how they greet others in England, but he bit my hand instead! I mean, I know that cultures are different around the world, and I'm open to that, though I'm mostly used to a kiss on the cheek. But you know how the saying goes: "when in Rome", right? The only polite thing to do was to return the gesture.

I guess the rotten smell should've been a warning.

... Needless to say, I think that's the last time I'll be biting anyone else's hand.

Is it just me or are there several versions of this meme going around? I can't tell if I'm doing the most recent one or not...

Name: Albert Herrera (that's what he'll introduce himself as)
Age: 16
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Brown
Height: Shorter than Franz I can't find any canon stats at the moment, but I'd estimate 5'8"/173cm? But my guesswork SUUUCKS. He's just above average for a teenage guy, put it that way. I'll update this height/weight bit later if I get more information.
Weight: I'm going to go with 60 kg/132 lbs, since that's a good weight for that height, age and gender. (Going by the normal BMI chart that is, not the crazy Japanese BMI chart.)
Bloodtype: Again, not given. But judging by his personality, I'm going to go with O.

Medical info: Nothing really noticeable. He might have a small scar on his lower torso area from being shot, but that's healed over by now. Other than that, he'd incredibly healthy-- Franz says in one episode that Albert's "never been sick before in his life".

Can I shapeshift/bodyswitch/spit at/step on/etc?: Please do :D. I mean, obviously ask me first, but I shouldn't have a problem with it! It's fun to make him flail.

Hugging/kissing/other non-violent physical contact: Hugging and friendly touches and stuff he's okay with. Kissing... well 8D;. Absolutely go ahead if it's just a friendly "hello there" kiss on the cheek or something similar if your character is so inclined (though he may blush and flail a bit), or some other wacky camp effect like mistletoe. As for serious kissing... I haven't got the icons for that yet well, he'd probably be a "wtf" at you unless the two had some established relationship at that point, buuuut given his performance on Luna, he probably would not protest that much if it was a pretty girl.

Maim/murder/death: I'm going to have to go with no on this one. Kill/maim Taki as much as you want-- it's hilarious-- but Albert will emo, and emo HARD. Canon shows that he knows how to handle a shotgun and a sword, but he really doesn't know how to protect himself other than that. He's a pretty crummy fist fighter. And aside from that, I don't really want to go there.

What's okay to mention around him: I... can't think right now of anything that wouldn't be okay to mention around him, but be aware that if you insult his family or friends, or talk about hating others or revenge, he'll get a bit pissy at you. (He doesn't hold grudges though, so it's all good :Db.)

Physical traits: Uhhh. He has a mole to the side of his left eye and has fairly tan skin?

Abilities: He can capably handle a shotgun (lol thanks canon), fence, ride a motorbike, and uh... I think that's it. He can't really even be trusted to colour-coordinate his clothes :(. OH he's reasonably good at mechanical things. See: episode 19, fixes Renaud's car, l-lol. I also think that he must at least be able to handle a sword, or he wouldn't have challenged the Count to a duel.

Secrets: He'll introduce himself as Albert Herrera, since he's from... just a bit after the events that happen at the end of episode 23 (second last episode, before the time-jump in the final episode), and so that surname is his mother's maiden name. Although he's known as Viscount Albert de Morcerf throughout the rest of the series, he'll probably not mention it in camp. He loves his family dearly but he will probably avoid talking about them in detail. For more information... WATCH THE SERIES :Db.

Note to psychics: ... nothing really special here. As I said, you might notice he avoids talking in detail about family-related stuff and prefers to change the subject when it comes up. At the moment, he's kinda running away from his past. He's also trying to seperate himself from the nobility, too, so he won't talk about that either. (It works to his advantage that most people in camp aren't familiar with his world.) But feel free to sense it.

Cooking: Well. He's had maids do the cooking for him all his life. Since he's taken from a little while after the end of episode 23, I'd say that he hasn't really properly learned to cook for himself yet. He's probably still living on instant food and hasn't gotten sick of it yet, or his mother's cooking. So if it involves anything more complicated than boiling water or microwaving, I'm going to have to go with no.
